Design For The People is rooted in the Danish design tradition, where aesthetics, simplicity and function are keywords. Together with contemporary Danish designers we strive, collection by collection, to give you the best design and most functional light, with new perspectives on the Danish design tradition. We aim to create timeless lighting that you will value more and more as time goes by. That does not mean, however, that we ignore the current movements in the design scene. Quite contrary, we want to embrace them and intemperate them to fit into our own design universe. We want our designs to be the fruits of innovative thinking that enhance our lives and the spaces surrounding us. Creating a comforting feel and ambience in your home, where you want to live and spend time. For the 2020 collection we focus on high quality materials such as marble, opal glass and brass. We focus on the quality of light and how to make it adjustable to everyday situations. Furthermore, we have extended some of our novelties from 2019 to cover a complete family. Well-known designs from previous collections have been upgraded with new and improved details and surfaces, and some you will see in new colors. Beautiful and well-made design has led Design For The People to where we are today. The cooperation with talented designers and our drive throughout the whole design process, is crucial for us to keep focus on creating good design and innovative solutions. Our goal is to have the right balance between timeless design and modern technology. Danish design has received great recognition throughout the world. We have also been a part of that acclaim, and we have been honored with several recognized international design awards. This year we have won two of the much-coveted Red Dot Design Awards 2020 for Stay table and wall, designed by Maria Berntsen.
