4 Design For The People 2017-2018 Today Nordlux is a fast-growing and a market leading company, working closely together with a number of recognized Danish designers. We have our own production facilities in China, two distinctive brands, and an export share of 60 percent of revenue. Who would have thought it would go like this, back then in 1977, when the founder of Nordlux and then director Mr. Svend Erik Poulsen stood in his basement in Gistrup near Aalborg and made his first prototype – the quadratic Model 2626? In 1988 Mr. Svend Erik Poulsen sold Nordlux to Mr. Jørgen Havemann, who owned it until the current director, Mr. Peter Terkelsen, took over in 2008. Each of the 3 directors have put their own stamp on the company, however always based on one clear vision; to create quality lighting at prices everyone can afford.
